Enrique Alberto Kistenmacher (born April 8, 1923 , † March 1990 ) was an Argentine athlete who reached fourth place in the decathlon at the 1948 Olympic Games .

Kistenmacher won his first international medals at the South American Championships in Rio de Janeiro in 1947 . In the long jump competition , he managed a jump of 7.07 meters, with which he took third place, three centimeters behind the winner. The result in the decathlon was much clearer: Kistenmacher won with 7011 points ahead of the Peruvian Eduardo Julve with 6460 points. With his width of 7.20 meters achieved in the decathlon, Kistenmacher would also have won the long jump competition.

At the 1948 Olympic Games in London, Kistenmacher qualified for the long jump final with 7.18 meters, but only finished tenth there with 6.80 meters. In the decathlon he reached 6929 points after two days, which corresponds to 6542 points according to the table valid since 1985. While the American Bob Mathias won with 7139 points, the French Ignace Heinrich with 6974 points and the second American Floyd Simmons with 6950 points were just ahead of Kistenmacher. With 10.9 seconds over 100 meters, 7.08 meters in the long jump and 50.5 seconds in the 400-meter run, Kistenmacher won three sub-disciplines.

Kistenmacher set his personal best in the long jump at the South American Championships in Lima in 1949 , with 7.365 meters he was 25 centimeters ahead of the Chilean Carlos Vera . In the decathlon he reached 6853 points and was over 600 points ahead of the Uruguayan Hércules Azcune . Kistenmacher had one last big appearance at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires in 1952 , when he won the silver medal with the Argentine 4 x 100 meter relay.

Kistenmacher had a competition weight of 75 kilograms with a height of 1.80 meters.
