Enrique Nieto y Nieto

Enrique Nieto y Nieto (born October 6, 1883 in Barcelona , † January 20, 1954 in Melilla ) was a Spanish modernist architect .

He graduated from the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona and worked with Antoni Gaudí at Casa Milá . In 1909 he moved to Melilla, where the majority of his buildings were built. Nieto's style changed over time towards Art Deco and Classicism . 1931–1949 he was the city architect of Melilla.
