The Entrepeñas Reservoir ( Spanish Embalse de Entrepeñas ) dams the Tajo about 2 km north-west of the town Sacedón in the center of the landscape of Alcarria in the southern province of Guadalajara in the autonomous region of Castilla-La Mancha Central Spain . About 20 km further south is the Buendía reservoir , which dams the Río Guadiela .
Barrier structure
The barrier structure is a concrete gravity dam with a height of 87 m above the foundation base . The top of the wall is at a height of 723 m above sea level . The length of the top of the wall is 383 m. The volume is 445,930 m³.
The dam wall has both a bottom outlet and a flood relief . A maximum of 295 m³ / s can be discharged via the bottom outlet, and a maximum of 1,500 m³ / s via the flood discharge. The design flood is 2500 m³ / s.
Reservoir
With the normal storage target of 718 m, the reservoir extends over an area of around 32.13 km² and holds 803 (or 813 or 874) million m³ of water. It has a maximum length of approx. 25 km in north-south direction with a maximum width of almost 2 km.

The installed capacity of the power plant is 36.86 (or 41) MW .
