Erasmus core
Erasmus Kern (* 1592 in Feldkirch ; † after 1650 ) was an Austrian sculptor and carver.
Life
Erasmus Kern did his apprenticeship with Virgil Moll and Jörg Zürn in Überlingen. He became a master in 1617 and ran an important carving workshop on Herrengasse in Feldkirch.
Erasmus Kern married Agatha Rainoldin von Babenwohl in 1615 and the couple had twelve children between 1616 and 1636.

This altar is considered to be the greatest work of Erasmus Kern and was originally created for the church in Eschen in Liechtenstein , but sold to the Sankt Kornelius church in Grotenrath ( Germany ) in the 19th century .
