The Erbigsbach is a left tributary of the Laufach in the Aschaffenburg district in the Bavarian Spessart .

The Erbigsbach arises in the Frohnhofer Forest from several sources between Waldaschaff and Laufach at the eastern foot of the 345  m high Brandenberg . The main source rises at a height of 254  m above sea level. NHN .

The combined stream runs in a northerly direction through a deep forested valley, then flows through the municipality of Laufach and finally flows into the western edge of the village at an altitude of 164  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the river of the same name.

The approximately 1.5 km long course of the Erbigsbach ends approximately 90 meters below its source, so it has a mean bed gradient of approximately 62 ‰.

Catchment area

The approximately 1.8 km² catchment area of ​​the Erbigsbach lies in the Spessart and is drained through it via the Laufach, Aschaff , Main and Rhine to the North Sea.
