Erhard Albrecht
Erhard Siegfried Albrecht (born October 8, 1925 in Kirchscheidungen ) is a German Marxist philosopher who taught in Greifswald.
Life
The son of an animal breeding inspector and dairy operator attended secondary school in Landsberg (Warthe) and was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1943 . After being injured in the war, after completing his Abitur in Landsberg, he was able to start studying philosophy at the University of Rostock in November 1944 , which he received in 1949 as Dr. rer. pole. graduated from Hermann Duncker .
After the war he became a member of the KPD and with the forced unification of the SPD and KPD in 1946 a member of the SED . He attended the party college in Kleinmachnow until 1950 and completed his habilitation in Rostock the following year.
In 1952 Erhard Albrecht became professor for dialectical and historical materialism ( Marxism ) at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald . In the following years he was a visiting professor a. a. at the universities in Jena and Rostock and as prorector. After the university reform until his retirement in 1990, he was head of the methodology, semiotics and communication studies group.
Even after 1990, Erhard Albrecht was Chairman of the Greifswalder Semiotics working group.
