Eric Armstrong

Eric Armstrong (born December 11, 1963 in Brantford , Ontario ) is a Canadian animator .

Life

Armstrong studied traditional animation (in Cels ) and computer animation at Sheridan College . He then worked at Industrial Light and Magic from 1990 to 1995 , initially as an animator and later as an animation director on real films. Among other things, he was involved in films such as Jurassic Park and Casper . In 1995 Armstrong went to Sony Pictures Imageworks and worked as an animation director on films such as Anaconda and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone .

Making his film director debut in 2002, Sony Pictures Imageworks' first fully computer-animated film, The Chubbchubbs! , for which Armstrong received an Oscar in 2003 . From 2004 Armstrong worked for Electronic Arts as an animator and worked on various video games. Armstrong has been a freelance animator since 2008.
