Eric Bercovici

Eric Bercovici (born February 27, 1933 in New York City , † February 9, 2014 in Honolulu ) was an American television producer and screenwriter .

Life

Bercovici presented his first work as a writer together with his father Leonardo , whose film Square of Violence he wrote. In his career he should only continue to work for feature films, but the majority of his scripts are templates for television films and series. He was a writer for Love, American Style , tennis rackets and cannons , solo for ONCEL , Kobra, take over and Hawaii Five-Zero Active. His greatest success was with the script for the NBC production Shogun in 1980, for which he was awarded a Primetime Emmy . Further work for the station was in 1988 Noble House . In 1977 he wrote for ABC Washington: Behind Closed Doors ; his most important work for the screen is probably John Boorman's We Are Hell in 1968.

Since 1972 he has also produced various television films as well as u. a. the successful mini-series mentioned above.
