Eric Svensson ( Karl Eric Emanuel "Spänst" Svensson ; born September 10, 1903 in Jönköping , † September 22, 1986 in Falkenberg ) was a Swedish athlete who competed in the triple jump and the long jump .

At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , Svensson won the silver medal in the triple jump and achieved a Swedish national record with his width of 15.32 m. The Japanese Nambu Chūhei won with 15.72 m (world record), bronze went to his compatriot Kenkichi Ōshima (15.12 m). In the long jump Svensson took fourth place. The following year he was Swedish champion in both disciplines. At the European Athletics Championships in Turin in 1934 , he won another silver medal in the triple jump behind Dutchman Willem Peters .

Eric Svensson was 1.80 m tall and weighed 75 kg during his playing days.
