Willem Peters

Willem Peters (also Wim Peters ; born July 5, 1903 in Meppel , Drenthe , † March 30, 1995 in Zwolle , Overijssel ) was a Dutch athlete .

In 1924, Peters first took part in the Olympic Games in Paris . With 13.86 meters he finished 11th in qualification and did not reach the final in the triple jump .

Four years later, he narrowly missed the finals of the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam with 14.55 meters as seventh in the qualification.

At 14.93 meters, Peters was fifth in his third Olympic participation in 1932 in Los Angeles .

At the first European Championships , which was held in Turin in 1934, Peters won with 14.89 meters before the Olympic runner-up in 1932 Eric Svensson from Sweden with 14.83 meters.
