Onni Rajasaari
Onni Rafael Rajasaari (born March 2, 1910 in Hanko ; † November 12, 1994 ibid) was a Finnish athlete . With a height of 1.74 m, his competition weight was 69 kg.
At the Olympic Games in 1932 Onni Rajasaari was 14.15 meters eleventh in the triple jump . With 14.74 meters he won bronze at the European Championships in Turin in 1934 , 15 centimeters behind the winner Willem Peters from the Netherlands.
In Berlin at the Olympic Games in 1936 , he failed in the long jump in qualification. In the triple jump he was thirteenth with 14.59 meters. At the European Championships in Paris in 1938 Rajasaari won with 15.32 meters, his compatriot Jouko Norén came second with 14.95 meters.
Onni Rajasaari was Finnish champion in the triple jump from 1933 to 1939 and in the long jump in 1938. In the triple jump he started for the last time in 1945 and was fourth again in the Finnish championship. His best performance in the triple jump was never recognized as a European record, but was a Finnish record from 1939 to 1956.
