Georgi Stojkowski

Georgi Iwanow Stojkowski ( Bulgarian Георги Иванов Стойковски ; born May 10, 1941 ) is a former Bulgarian triple jumper .

At the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he jumped 16.21 m in qualification. In the final he was seventh with a distance of 16.10 m. In 1966 at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest , he jumped 16.67 m Bulgarian record. He won the title one centimeter ahead of Hans-Jürgen Rückborn from the GDR, who also set a national record.

At the height of Mexico City at the 1968 Olympic Games , Stojkowski was ninth with 16.46 m. In 1969 at the European Championships in Athens , he jumped 16.39 m in qualification. In the final, however, he only reached 15.14 m and was twelfth. At the European Indoor Championships in Sofia in 1971, he took part in an international championship for the last time and was seventh with 16.00 m.

From 1964 to 1971 with the exception of 1967 he was Bulgarian triple jump champion .

Georgi Stojkowski is 1.73 m tall and weighed 71 kg during his active time.
