Erich Dolleschal

Erich Dolleschal (born July 17, 1896 in Stuttgart , † 1983 ) was a German commercial artist, commercial artist and painter.

Erich Dolleschal lived as a freelance artist in Bad Dürkheim . He received his artistic training from 1919 to 1923 at the Stuttgart School of Applied Arts in the graphics class of Professor Max Körner and from 1921 as a master student of Professor Friedrich Hermann Ernst Schneidler .

From 1930 Dolleschal was an artistic employee of the Krugmann Art Institute in Fürth . Dolleschal took part in several exhibitions, including the 5th Triennale in Milan in 1934 and in the New Collection in Munich in 1949. In Milan in 1934 he received the bronze medal of the 5th Triennale for his designs for bottle labels; further awards followed. His work was mentioned in German and international journals: in 1933 in commercial graphics under the title works of younger Württemberg graphic artists , in 1934 in Commercial Art and Industry and in 1953 in Modern Publicity , Graphis and Publimondial . Dolleschal signed his work with the abbreviation Do in Sütterlin script .

In the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and in the art library of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Prussian Cultural Heritage, there are some works of doll scarves, especially original designs for wine labels.
