Erich Haase (politician)

Erich Haase (born September 7, 1928 in Großenhain ) is a former German politician ( SED ). He was Minister for Materials Management in the GDR .

Life

Haase, the son of a heating fitter, attended elementary and high school. He completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and then worked in this profession. In 1946 he joined the SED. In 1946/47 he made up his Abitur . Haase then studied at the TH Dresden until 1952 , where he graduated with a degree in economics. From 1952 to 1956 he was senior assistant, from 1956 to 1958 deputy director of the Institute for Accounting and Finance at the TH Dresden. In 1958 he was promoted to Dr. rer. oec. PhD.

From 1958 to 1961 he worked as the first deputy to the main director of VVB Maschinenbau and as a department head for economics. From 1961 he was an employee, 1962/63 Head of Industry of the Economics Council and from 1963 Secretary of the Economics Council.

In 1966, Haase was appointed First Deputy Minister for Materials Management, from June 26, 1968 to November 1971 he was Minister for Materials Management of the GDR and was a member of the Presidium of the GDR Council of Ministers . He then worked until 1989 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Materials Management and head of the State Commission for Materials Management at the GDR Council of Ministers.
