Erich Koehn

Erich Köhn (born August 29, 1879 in Berlin ; † May 13, 1967 there ) was a German architect .

Life

On September 1, 1900, he was a co-founder of the civil servants housing association in Berlin , which he headed for the first five years as a board member and for which he also worked as an architect during this time. His most important work today is the Helenenhof, built between 1904 and 1906 in Berlin-Friedrichshain , where he continued the reform housing concept developed by Alfred Messel . From 1908 Köhn was a sworn building expert for the state fire society of the province of Brandenburg and from 1910 also at the district court Berlin  II.

Today, many of Köhn's buildings are listed in Berlin .
