Erich Klug
Erich Klug (born February 23, 1941 in Marialinden ; † February 7, 2011 in Hanover ) was a German veterinarian .
Life
Klug was the son of a farmer and, after completing his agricultural training, ran his farm. After graduating from high school in 1963, he studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover with a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . During this time he was a research fellow at the Institute for European History . In 1968 he finished his studies. In 1969 he was promoted to Dr. med. vet. PhD . In 1982 the habilitation followed . He was a specialist veterinarian for reproductive medicine and professor for the fields of andrology , gynecology , obstetrics and neonatology of the horse at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover.
