Erich Kräutler

Erich Kräutler ( CPPS ), also Eurico Kräutler , (born August 8, 1906 in Koblach , Vorarlberg , † December 29, 1985 in Rum in Tirol ) was an Austrian Roman Catholic clergyman and missionary bishop in Brazil .

Life

Erich Kräutler joined the Order of Missionaries of the Precious Blood (CPPS) and was ordained a priest on July 10, 1932 . After many years of service as a missionary, Kräutler was appointed prelate of Xingu in Brazil in 1971 as the successor to Clemente Geiger and ordained titular bishop of Cissa . His nephew Erwin Kräutler continued his work in Brazil as his successor in the prelate and bishopric since 1981.

Erich Kräutler died in the sanatorium of the Kreuz Sisters in Rum in Tyrol . He was a member of KMV Clunia in Feldkirch in the MKV and the K.Ö.HV Alpenland (Vienna) in the ÖCV .
