Erich Laßleben
Erich Laßleben (born March 7, 1931 in Regensburg ; † November 22, 2016 in Kallmünz ) was a German publishing director , editor , editor and home administrator .
Life
Erich Laßleben was born as the son of the Kallmünz publisher Michael Laßleben . His grandfather was the local researcher and publisher Johann Baptist Laßleben , who founded the local magazine Die Oberpfalz in 1907 . Erich Laßleben did his apprenticeship as a typesetter with a journeyman's and master's examination at his father's publishing house Michael Laßleben, where he became technical director in 1954. After his father died in 1972, he continued to run the publishing house founded in 1919/20.
Based on the idea of his grandfather, who let him found the journal Die Oberpfalz , Erich Laßleben, like his father before, further developed the publishing program, which mainly contains specialist books and journals on regional history and archeology. Outside of Varlag's activities, Laßleben was also involved in the areas of local history research, heritage preservation, monument protection and cultural promotion. In Kallmünz, for example, he worked for twelve years as the second mayor and for 30 years as a local councilor, and for a long time was also Kallmünzer's local home administrator. With Paul Reinecke , the Bavarian archaeologists, who settled bombed after the war in Kallmünz, he had a close friendship, which results in a mid-1950s continued cooperation with the Bavarian State Conservation Office revealed that all his material booklets for Bavarian history or Archeology can be produced by Verlag Michael Laßleben. He has been honored several times for his commitment in the field of home care.
Erich Laßleben died at the age of 85. His sons Erich and Richard Laßleben , who had already worked for the publishing house before, continue the business of the family company in Kallmünz.
