Erich Müller (dentist)

Erich Müller (born December 2, 1899 in Leichlingen (Rhineland) , † July 31, 1992 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) was a German dentist .

Life

In 1917 he passed the high school diploma in Opladen . After that he did military service. From the summer semester of 1918 he studied dentistry at the University of Marburg . After taking the physics course there, he went to Leipzig and received his license to practice medicine at the university there after graduating in 1922 .

In 1953 he was involved in the founding of the "Federal Association of German Dentists" (BDZ) (later: Federal Dental Association ) and became its first president in the same year. In 1954 he also became chairman of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists (BDVZ) and in these offices created the prerequisites for the professional and professional representation of the dental profession, which still exists today. Above all, the passing of the Statutory Health Insurance Physician Act and the introduction of the federal fee schedule should be mentioned here.
