Erich Rußek , also Erich Russek , (born June 8, 1893 in Zabrze , † January 1945 in Mokrau ) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Life

Rußek was born in Silesia in 1893 as the son of a Protestant family. He attended elementary school in Zabrze. He then completed a commercial apprenticeship and attended the commercial advanced training school in Donnersmarckhütte. He then worked as an employee in Hindenburg and Kattowitz. Since 1910 he was a member of the DHV .

From 1914 to 1918 Rußek took part in the First World War as a member of Infantry Regiment No. 262 and Guard Telephone Department 551 . He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Silesian Eagle 1st and 2nd Class. After the war, Rußek worked in the Upper Silesian border guard and in the Reichswehr in 1919/20 . Then he worked as a commercial clerk in Katowice .

In 1923 Rußek, who had been married since 1922, joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). He is said to have been “dismantled” from the Reichstag handbook in 1926 as the “last German citizen” at the Katowice company for which he worked at the time, and then to have been unemployed for a while. Later he worked in the stamp office and as a manual worker. In 1929 Rußek became a member of the district assembly of Beuthen-Tarnowitz , where he was finally appointed leader of the NSDAP parliamentary group. In addition, from mid-August 1932 he was NSDAP district leader in Beuthen-Land.

In July 1932 , Rußek was elected to the Reichstag as his party's candidate for constituency 9 (Opole) . Six months later, in the Reichstag elections of November 1932 , he lost his mandate again. After the elections of March 1933 , Rußek was able to move into parliament again, which he subsequently belonged to until March 1936. In March 1933, Rußek voted for the Enabling Act . In the Reichstag elections in 1936 , he stood for re-election as regional councilor in Ratibor, Oberwallstrasse 25, but received no more mandate.

From April to July 1933 Rußek was a member of the district committee. On August 28, 1933 Rußek was appointed District Administrator of Ratibor .
