Erik Styf (born December 4, 1932 in Sundsvall , † April 1, 2001 in Katrineholm ) was a Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Styf, who started for the Ljusdals IF club , made his international debut at the 1954 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . On the normal hill, after good jumps, he reached fifth place, tied with Norwegian Torbjørn Falkanger .

Two years later he was part of the team at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . He was on the normal hill after the first round and a jump on 76 meters promising in 15th place. However, Styf fell in the second round at 75 meters and ended up only in 44th place.

In the 1957/58 Four Hills Tournament , Styf competed in all four competitions. Already at the opening jump on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf he landed his best individual result of the tour with 13th place. In the other competitions he finished 14th, 15th and 16th and ended up with 816.6 points in 10th place in the tour's overall ranking.

At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 , he finished jumping from the normal hill after jumps on 58 and 58.5 meters tied with William Erickson and Walter Habersatter in 31st place.
