Erik van Leeuwen (born June 30, 1968 in Zeist ) is a former Dutch biathlete . He competed six times at major international events.

Erik van Leeuwen started biathlon in 1992. The graphic designer lives in Reeuwijk . He made his international debut in the context of the Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding in 1996 , where he was 85th both in the individual and in the sprint. He achieved the same placement in 1998, when he first played in the Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka . In the summer of the year he also took part in the 1998 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie and was 62nd in the sprint. The Dutchman started for the second time in 2000 at the World Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo . In the individual he reached place 81, in the sprint 89th place. Van Leeuwen achieved the best results at a major event at the 2001 European Biathlon Championships in Haute-Maurienne . He was 49th in the sprint, 39th in the pursuit and 37th in the individual.
