Erika Rothenberg

Erika Rothenberg (* 1950 in Manhattan , New York City ) is an American installation and concept artist .

life and work

Erika Rothenberg grew up in New York City and studied at the School of Visual Arts and the University of Chicago . Rothenberg was Artistic Director of the Interpublic Group of Companies for seven years .

Erika Rothenberg is a conceptual artist who creates provocative and humorous works on social and political issues and expresses them in various artistic media. From painting to photography and installations to works in public spaces. She has taught at CalArts , Otis College of Art, Los Angeles, and UCLA, and has received awards from the Getty and Norton Foundation.
