Erlenfurt is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Rothenbuch in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg .
geography
Erlenfurt is located in the Spessart in the Hafenlohr valley on the AB 6 district road, right on the border with the Main-Spessart district . About 2 km to the west is the hamlet of Lichtenau , about 500 m to the south-east of the forester's lodge Diana, which belongs to Hafenlohr .
history
The Erlenfurt forester's house was built between 1861 and 1863. It is located on the border of the Rhine Franconian and Main Franconian dialect areas ( Äppeläquator ).
