Erna Sirch

Erna Sirch (born April 30, 1912 in Thorn ; † unknown) was a German functionary of the GDR block party LDPD and a DFD functionary. From 1967 to 1975 she was a member of the People's Chamber .

Life

Sirch, the daughter of an employee, attended commercial and evening school and learned the trade of bookseller from 1928 to 1932 . On February 1, 1935, she joined the NSDAP . From 1936 to 1945 she was the manager of a bookstore and printing company .

After the end of the war , in 1945/1946 she was head of the Buckow City Economic Office . From 1947 she worked as an independent bookseller and from 1961 as a bookseller with a commission contract. In 1950 she joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD), in 1952 the Kulturbund and in 1958 the Democratic Women's Association of Germany (DFD). From 1957 to 1961 she was a city councilor in Buckow, then an honorary city councilor for culture and popular education. From 1963 to 1965 she completed a distance learning course for cultural officials. From 1967 she was a member of the LDPD district executive committee in Frankfurt (Oder) . In 1968 she was elected chairman of the LDPD local group Buckow.

Sirch was the successor candidate from 1963 to 1967 and then from July 1967 to June 1975 a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR.

From 1964 to 1969 she was also a member of the presidium of the DFD federal board.
