Ernst Bantle
Ernst Bantle (born February 16, 1901 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † April 13, 1978 ) was a German football player .
Career
societies
Bantle joined the reigning Baden champions Freiburg FC in 1920 after his enthusiasm for football was aroused by Josef Glaser , his professor at the Oberrealschule , who won the German championship as a player for Freiburg FC in 1907 and played five international matches.
Bantle completed his first two seasons in the district league southwest, from the 1922/23 season in the Baden district league and from 1923 to 1930 in the Württemberg / Baden district league . However, it was not enough for the title, only five second places ( 1921 , 1924 , 1925 , 1929 , 1930 ) were achieved with the team.
National team
On September 21, 1924 he made his debut in the 50th international match of a DFB team in a duel with the national team of Hungary , which ended with a 1: 4 defeat in Budapest . He was denied further appointments because his football career had to take a back seat to his professional career.
Others
First he moved from Freiburg to Gießen because of his studies in economics , after which he came to Offenburg via Freudenstadt and Villingen , where he became director of the employment office. After his return to Freiburg in 1948, he worked there in the same position and was temporarily involved in the board of his former club, Freiburger FC.
