Ernst Bogislaus von Flemming

Reichsgraf Ernst Bogislaus von Flemming (* 1704 ; † February 6, 1764 in Iven ) was a royal Prussian major general and chief of infantry regiment No. 58

He was the son of Count Felix Friedrich von Flemming (1661–1738) and Dorothea Sophia von Flemming (1673–1754). His father was the heir to Iven, a real privy councilor and hereditary marshal of Pomerania. His brother Georg Detlev von Flemming was a Saxon-Polish general of the artillery, another brother Karl Georg Friedrich von Flemming was a Saxon diplomat and general.

Flemming had been with the Prussian Army since 1732 , was promoted to major in 1741 and transferred to Regiment No. 44 . There he became a colonel in 1747. After the surrender of the Saxon army near Pirna in 1757 he was given regiment no.58, formed from captured Saxons . The regiment was soon disbanded. In 1760 he said goodbye and died in 1764 on the Iven estate.
