Ernst Führich

Ernst Führich (born July 16, 1948 in Leipheim ) is a German legal scholar. From 1986 to 2013 he was Professor of Law at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences , specializing in private business law, labor and social law and travel law. Führich is the author of the Kempten travel deficiency table .

Life

Ernst Führich obtained the general university entrance qualification at the mathematics and natural science high school in Günzburg in 1968 . He then completed two years of military service as a temporary soldier , where he was trained as a reserve officer .

Führich then studied from 1970 to 1975 at the University of Regensburg and at the Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg law and laid in 1975 the first state examination well in Bavaria with the title from. From 1975 to 1978 Führich was a trainee lawyer in the Bamberg Higher Regional Court . From 1976 to 1978 Führich was a doctoral student with Günther Grasmann at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and dealt in his dissertation with the classification of occupational health and safety law in public or private law and the international legal consequences of this classification . In 1978 Führich was promoted to Dr. jur. utr. PhD with summa cum laude .

After completing the second state examination in law in 1978, Führich worked in the Bavarian judicial service as a judge (civil court) at the Kaufbeuren district court , Marktoberdorf branch (1978–1979), then judge (criminal court) at the Kempten regional court (1978–1980) and judge (civil court ) at the Kempten District Court . From 1980 to 1986 he was employed as a public prosecutor in the public prosecutor's office at the Kempten district court. At the same time, Führich was a lecturer in private business law and labor law at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences from 1981 to 1986. In 1986, he was appointed Professor of Law at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences.

Führich has retired since 2013, but continues to work as a scientist in his specialty.

Scientific work

The main research focus of Führich is travel law with the areas of travel contract law, travel agency law, travel insurance law and individual travel law. Führich played a key role in the development of this new area of ​​law. He was several times an expert in the legislative process for the implementation of the EC package travel directive 90/314 / EEC in Bonn and Berlin, founder and long-standing member of the board of the German Society for Travel Law (DGfR) and co-editor of the magazine " Reiserecht aktuell" (RRa), which he co-founded ". His main scientific work is the travel law manual . Along with the Frankfurt table, his Kempten travel deficiency table is an essential source for determining the amount of travel price reductions in the event of travel deficiencies .

Führich's main work as a textbook is private business law , which is the standard book on private law for economists. It was published in 2017 in the 13th edition by Verlag Vahlen / CH Beck Munich.
