Ernst Friedrich Finck von Finckenstein (Colonel)

Ernst Friedrich Finck von Finckenstein (* 1680 ; † August 17, 1727 in Berlin ) was a Prussian colonel and first head of the cadet corps .

Life

He comes from the Prussian family Finck von Finckenstein . His parents were the Polish Colonel Wilhelm Albrecht Finck von Finckenstein (Finck zu Roggenhausen) and his wife Gottliebe, née von Polentz. His father was also the heir to Roggenhausen , Koffnateken, Schlößchen Omuleff and Neydeck.

In 1717 he was a lieutenant colonel in the king's body regiment. He became the commander of the cadet corps on September 1 of that year and as such was distinguished by his diligence and efficiency in general, but also by his nobility and charity. In 1718 he received the administration of Mühlenhof and Mühlenbeck, which significantly improved his income. In 1727 he died as a colonel and was buried with all the festivities in the garrison church. The corps of cadets with their flag marched in front of the coffin and this was followed by all the chief officers of the garrison. The court chaplain Lambert Gedicke gave the funeral speech and the cadets gave 3 salvos salutes.

He was succeeded by Colonel Samuel de Saint-Sauveur .

He was married to Charlotte von Schoenaich (* 1690). She was a widow of Daser and later married Major General Johann Arnold Goswin von Rittberg . The marriage remained without children.
