Ernst Friedrich Karl Rosenmüller , also Ernst Friedrich Carl Rosenmüller (born December 10, 1768 in Heßberg near Hildburghausen, † September 17, 1835 in Leipzig ) was a German Protestant theologian and orientalist.

Rosenmüller was the eldest of four sons of the theologian Johann Georg Rosenmüller (1736–1815). He studied at the University of Leipzig and in 1796 became an associate professor for Arabic studies. He received the ordinariate for oriental languages ​​in Leipzig in 1813. His successor in this office was Heinrich Leberecht Fleischer in 1836 . Outside the university he worked for a long time as an editor of the Leipzig literary newspaper, until the editorial staff changed completely in 1833.

On November 1, 1817, Rosenmüller was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Theological Faculty of the University of Halle .
