Ernst Leese

Ernst Leese (born October 29, 1858 in Stettin ; † April 1938 ) was a German civil servant . Leese worked as deputy federal councilor, among other things, on the Reich Insurance Code .

Life

Ernst Leese studied law and completed his studies with a doctorate in law. In 1874 he took up a position as station master at the Strasbourg factory inspection and two years later moved to the factory inspection in Metz and from 1877 to 1885 to the Mulhouse factory inspection . In 1890 he moved again to the company management in Metz. In 1908 he was promoted to senior councilor at the General Directorate of the State Railways in Strasbourg. From 1910 until his retirement, Leese was a Privy Councilor in the Prussian Ministry for Public Works .

Ernst Leese was married to Helene geb. Dorschfeldt. His son was the theologian Kurt Leese .

Services

Leese was awarded the Prussian Order of the Red Eagle, 4th class, and the Prussian Order of the Crown, 3rd class. As a Federal Council representative, he worked on the Reich Insurance Code of 1911 and the amendment to the Association Act of 1916.

Leese was a lieutenant in the reserve.
