Ernst Müller (born January 6, 1874 in Weidenhausen (Meißner) , † May 25, 1950 in Weidenhausen (Gladenbach) ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Müller first worked as a farm worker and then as a transport worker (carter). From May 1902 to August 1908 he worked as a travel agent and editor for the Kasseler Volksblatt . At the same time he was a board member of the transport workers' association in Kassel , which he took over as chairman in 1908. From September 1908 to 1911 he was an employee of the transport workers' association in Elberfeld and then until October 1919 in the same position in Duisburg . From February 15, 1915 to December 1, 1918, he took part in the First World War as a soldier . From 1919 to 1933 he held a position as a consultant in the regional industrial area department of the Reich Central Office for Homeland Service in Essen .

Müller, which the Social Democrats had joined was 1919-1933 city councilor and 1923-1924 unpaid Associate in Duisburg. From 1921 to 1928 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Rhine Province . In 1928 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he was a member until 1933.
