Ernst Marboe (writer)

Ernst Marboe (born January 26, 1909 in Vienna ; † September 28, 1957 there ) was an Austrian writer , cultural manager and civil servant.

Life

The technician Marboe, whose wife was the cousin of Leopold Figl's wife, had good relations with politicians of the Christian Socials and the later ÖVP . As a student functionary of the Catholic Cartell Association (he was a member of the KAV Bajuvaria Wien ) together with Josef Klaus ( Rudolfina ) from 1933 he held the position of trustee for the student body at the University of Vienna .

In 1936 Marboe entered the service of the Lower Austrian provincial government.

From 1945 Marboe headed the cultural department of the Federal Press Service as a shop steward for the ÖVP. From 1953 he headed the Austrian Federal Theater Administration . In 1949, Marboe was the founder and managing director of Austria Wochenschau . Together with the SPÖ man Rudolf Brunngraber , he wrote the screenplay for the film, which premiered in 1952, April 1, 2000 , which was supposed to address the Austrians' longing for the State Treaty . He also dealt with Indian poetry.

Marboe is the father of Ernst Wolfram Marboe and Peter Marboe .
