Ernst Robert Schneider

Ernst Robert Schneider (born March 20, 1825 in Aschersleben , † April 3, 1900 in Berlin ) was a German chemist .

Life

Schneider received his doctorate on December 18, 1849 at the University of Leipzig and completed his habilitation on July 29, 1853 at the Berlin University . In the same year he began teaching chemistry at the United Artillery and Engineering School . On June 22, 1860 he was appointed associate professor in the philosophy faculty of Berlin University. From 1872 he was also a professor at the Prussian War Academy .

Schneider was an inorganic chemist and studied sulfur and bismuth and their compounds . He also had his own laboratory where pharmacists were trained.
