Ernst Schäfer (born August 13, 1862 in Maffersdorf , † after 1936 ) was a German-Bohemian architect and builder in Reichenberg , today Liberec. Stylistically, he is considered an architect of historicism , Art Nouveau and Art Deco .

He studied at the State Trade School in Reichenberg (later Střední průmyslová škola stavební Liberec - Secondary School for Construction) and opened an architectural office in Reichenberg in 1890. Here he founded the non-profit construction company , with which he built a residential area in Reichenberg from 1894 to 1899. His buildings are located in Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou , Náchod , Rumburk , Žatec and Ljubljana .
