Ernst Supf

Ernst Supf (born April 25, 1895 in Nuremberg , † March 24, 1970 in Roth ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

Supf attended the Humanist Gymnasium in Nuremberg and took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 to 1918 . During the war he was badly wounded and promoted to lieutenant. He then began studying economics at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , where he joined the Corps Bavaria Würzburg in 1919 .

The study he completed in 1920 with the graduation to the Dr. rer. pole. Then he was the managing director of the Friedr company. Supf in Roth , which later became the United Stanniolfabriken Friedr. Supf and CF Bauerreis & Müller GmbH was renamed.

Supf was chairman of the Association of the Bavarian Metalworking Industry in Nuremberg, Vice-President of the Iron, Sheet Metal and Metal Processing Industry Association in Düsseldorf and a member of the board of the Bavarian Collective Bargaining Association of the Metal Industry and the Association of Bavarian Employers' Associations in Munich .

Political party

Supf was a member of the DVP from 1918 to 1933 . He joined the FDP Bavaria after 1945 , was elected to the district executive of the FDP Middle Franconia and was chairman of the FDP district association Schwabach -Stadt und -Land.

MP

After 1945, Supf was a councilor for the city ​​of Roth and a member of the Roth district council . He headed the FDP parliamentary group in both parliaments. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1965. He entered parliament through the Bavarian State List .

Supf was first mayor of Roth in 1945/46 and was then second mayor until 1960.
