Ernst Wenck (1865-1929).

Ernst Wenck (born March 18, 1865 in Reppen , † January 23, 1929 in Berlin ) was a German sculptor .

Life

From 1885 to 1889, Ernst Wenck was a student at the teaching institute of the Kunstgewerbemuseum and the Academy of Arts in Berlin. After a few stays abroad (1885-1891), he first became a member and later Vice Chairman of the Berlin Secession . In 1901 he received a small gold medal at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition . In 1922 he became a member of the Academy of Arts. In addition to some notable monuments, some porcelain figures have been preserved for Rosenthal .

Ernst Wenck was buried in the St. Marien and St. Nikolai Cemetery I , Prenzlauer Allee 1. His grave has not been preserved.
