Ernst von Vincke

Ernst von Vincke (born September 24, 1819 in Münster , † April 11, 1856 in Hamm ) was a Prussian district administrator .

Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Freiherr von Vincke came from the Westphalian noble family von Vincke and was born as the fourth of five children to the married couple Ludwig von Vincke and Eleonore von Syberg. His brother Georg was the district administrator of the Hagen district , Gisbert was a lawyer and poet.

Ernst received lessons from private teachers until August 1833 and was then accepted into the third class of the cadet corps in Berlin . In July 1836 he passed the officer's examination and was transferred to the 8th Hussar Regiment in Düsseldorf on August 16, 1836 . After his discharge from military service, he was given the character of Prime Lieutenant .

On November 30, 1844 he was elected the first candidate for the Hamm district office and on August 1, 1845 (subject to the examination) he was appointed district administrator of the Hamm district. He passed the examination on February 14, 1846 with the Arnsberg government with the result "capable of managing a district office".

He was often reprimanded and fined for improper behavior towards the superior authority. On December 29, 1853 the Arnsberg government even threatened to request the opening of a disciplinary investigation because he had not given up on the repeatedly punished impropriety.

Von Vincke married Mathilde Gisberta Wilhelmine Auguste von Khaynach on July 14, 1855 in Hamm. Due to the early death of Ernst von Vincke, the marriage lasted only nine months and remained childless.
