Erwin Eichbaum

Erwin Eichbaum (born February 29, 1928 in Düsseldorf ; † September 18, 2017 there ) was a German painter and sculptor .

From 1944 to 1953 Eichbaum studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Wilhelm Schmurr , Otto Pankok and Ferdinand Macketanz . From 1951 to 1953 he was the master student of Theo Champion . Around 1952 he lived in the Eiskellerberg . In 1954 he received a scholarship from the Kulturkreis in the Federal Association of German Industry , in 1961 the “ Villa Romana Prize” with a one-year stay in Florence and in 1967 the “Premio del Fiorino” prize from the German Federal Government. Eichbaum is a member of the Düsseldorf Artists Association . His studio was located in the “artist's studio house”, Sittarder Strasse 5. Erwin Eichbaum has been involved in group exhibitions at home and abroad since 1949. His works are in private and public ownership, including in the Museum Kunstpalast and the Galerie Schloss Oberhausen .
