Erwin Fichtner (born December 9, 1883 , † after 1944) was a German actor.

Live and act

Max Erwin Fichtner, born on December 9, 1883, came to silent film at the beginning of the 1910s, where he appeared in numerous, highly diverse roles between 1912 and 1926. He played in patriotic films, in fateful and social dramas, but also in adventure and detective films from series such as "Nick Carter", "Sherlock Holmes", "Phantomas" or "Rat Anheim". Fichtner embodied aristocrats and doctors, chamberlains and chauffeurs, teachers, detectives and detectives. He worked under directors such as Emil Albes , Carl Boese , Joseph Delmont , Bruno Eichgrün , Franz Hofer , William Kahn , Max Mack , Rudolf Meinert , Walter Schmidthässler and Willy Zeyn . He made a film, "When Graves Open" (1918) under Octav von Klodnicki.

After a break of several years he can be found in some sound films of the 1930s and 1940s, albeit only in smaller roles there. His last recorded appearance is likely to have been the guest box guest wearing a monocle in the UFA color spectacle "The Woman of My Dreams", which premiered in August 1944.
