Erwin Immel

Erwin Immel (born February 12, 1927 in Übersthal ; † April 9, 2006 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After eight years of elementary school in Übersthal, Erwin Immel attended the teacher training institute in Boppard am Rhein. The training was interrupted in 1944/1945 due to military service. On April 20, 1944, at the age of 17, he was accepted into the NSDAP. After the first state examination in Weilburg in 1947 and the second teacher examination in 1950, he worked as a secondary school teacher.

politics

Erwin Immel was a member of the CDU and was active there in various board positions. He was chairman of the local political association of the CDU in the Lahn-Dill district .

Erwin Immel was involved in local politics in the municipal council of Siegbach and in the district council of the Lahn-Dill district.

From December 1, 1970 to November 30, 1982, Erwin Immel was a member of the Hessian state parliament for three electoral terms. There he was chairman of the Petitions Committee and the Social Policy Committee.

In 1979 Immel was a member of the Federal Assembly .

Other offices

Since 1985 Immel has been the regional chairman of Lebenshilfe for the mentally handicapped.
