The Escalmels (French: Ruisseau d'Escalmels ) is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Occitania regions. It rises under the name Ruisseau d'Ayguesparses in the hamlet of the same name Ayguesparses in the municipality of Saint-Saury , generally drains north to northwest and flows into the Gorges de la Cère as a right tributary after 25 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Comiac and Lamativie in the Gorges de la Cère gorge Cère . On its way, the Escamels crosses the Cantal and Lot departments and meets the Corrèze department at its confluence .
