The Eselsbach is about 1 km long right tributary of Nettle Beck in the district Unterrombach of Aalen in Baden-Württemberg Ostalbkreis .

The Eselbach arises a little west of Aalen - Unterrombach at 451.2  m above sea level. NHN next to the Limesstraße from Oberrombach from the confluence of the Salinenbach and the Rauentalbach , both at an altitude of approximately 490  m above sea level. Rise from the NHN , run in eastern directions and meet here at an acute angle. It then flows in an approximately 50 m wide, almost undeveloped valley basin that is flooded when there is heavy water flow in an easterly direction through Unterrombach and flows into the Nesselbach from the right on the other side of the village .

Catchment area

In terms of natural space , the catchment area is located entirely in the Welland sub -area of the Eastern Alb foreland and is 2.3 km² in size. It belongs almost entirely to the city of Aalen ; only its western tip with and above the Salinenbach origin belongs to the area of ​​the municipality of Essingen .
