Eskil is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Aksaray . The district town accounts for almost two thirds of the district population. The district, founded in 1990, is located in the west of the province and borders the Tuz Gölü . The district is completely flat and has no hills or mountains. The climate is continental. In addition to the community Eskil, which was founded in 1929, is available with Esmekaya yet another municipality (2,801 inhabitants) and eleven villages, but of which only Güneşli has over 1,000 inhabitants (1589). An average of 584 people live in a village.
