Gülağaç (formerly Ağaçlı ) is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Aksaray . About 23 percent of the district population is in the district town. The small district is located in the east of the province and borders the Nevşehir province .
The district was founded in 1990 and, in addition to the district town (23% of the district population), has three other municipalities ( Belde ): Demirci (4,280), Gülpınar (2,838) and Saratlı (2,237 inhabitants). Nine villages ( Köy ) complete the district, with Bekarlar (1,084) and Kızılkaya (1,366) having over 1,000 inhabitants. Each village has an average of 657 people.
