Estefany Chacón (born November 1, 1997 ) is a Venezuelan javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Estefany Chacón gained her first international experience in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she was eliminated from the qualification with a width of 46.72 m. Then she finished sixth at the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellín with 47.08 m and came fifth at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Trujillo with 45.88 m. In 2014 she won the South American Championships in Cali with a throw of 51.87 m. The following year she won the silver medal at the Junior South American Championships in Cuenca with 50.81 m and was fifth at the South American Championships in Lima with 50.32 m, before she won the silver medal at the Pan American Junior Championships in Edmonton with 53.73 m. At the 2016 U20 Athletics World Championships in Bydgoszcz , she was eliminated in qualification with 48.81 m and in 2017 she finished fifth at the South American Championships in Luque with 52.55 m. Then she won the silver medal at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta with 54.88 m and only had to admit defeat to the Colombian Flor Ruíz .

In 2013, 2016 and 2018, Chacón became the Venezuelan javelin champion.
