Esther Bottomley (born February 8, 1983 in Terrang ) is an Australian cross-country skier .

Career

Bottomley took part in the Continental Cup from 1999 to 2004. She has been competing in the Australia / New Zealand Cup since 2004 , which she won in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 and 2014 . She made her first World Cup race in December 2003 in Val di Fiemme , which she finished with 46th place in the sprint. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Pragelato , she took 52nd place in the sprint. She reached 50th place in the sprint at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . In January 2011, she achieved 33rd place in the sprint in Liberec , her best individual World Cup result to date. Her best result at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 56th place in the sprint. So far she has participated in seven Nordic World Ski Championships , in which the 44th place in individual at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo in the sprint and 14th place with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun were her best placings so far.

In 2010 and 2011 she won the Kangaroo Hoppet .
