Etsuko Inoue ( Japanese 井上 悦子 , ??? ; born October 18, 1964 ) is a former Japanese tennis player .

Career

During her tennis career, she won two individual titles on the WTA Tour . The double semi-final at the 1987 Australian Open was her greatest Grand Slam success. In 1990 she ended her career.

At the Asian Games in 1982 she won the gold medal in singles, the silver medal in mixed and the bronze medal in doubles. She took part in the demonstration competition (individual) at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , where she lost in the first round to Steffi Graf 3: 6 and 5: 7. At the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul , she started singles and doubles .

From 1982 and 1989 she played for the Japanese Fed Cup team . Of her 30 games she was able to win 13.
