Eugen Fleischmann

Eugen Fleischmann (born February 13, 1941 in Stuttgart ; † December 21, 2017 ) was a German local politician ( SPD ) and Lord Mayor of Balingen from 1975 to 1991 .

He completed an apprenticeship at the general local health insurance fund and between 1960 and 1963 did his Abitur at an evening grammar school. Fleischmann studied law in Tübingen and Freiburg . During his studies in Tübingen he became a member of the Academic Association  Virtembergia . He passed his first state examination in 1967 and his second state examination in 1970.

Fleischmann was elected the new mayor of Balingen in 1975 . In 1983 he was re-elected. In the mayoral election on February 24, 1991, Fleischmann was defeated by his successor Edmund Merkel . He then worked as a lawyer in Horst Kiesecker's law firm ; from 2006 he was self-employed.
