After his active career, Hach became the coach of the second team at 1. FC Saarbrücken in 1992. From 1993 to 1995 he was player-coach at the amateur club SF Hostenbach and 1995/96 in the same function at SC Halberg-Brebach . In 1996 he took over the post of assistant coach at SV Waldhof Mannheim , which he held until 1999. After the unexpected death of Werner Fuchs , Eugen Hach took over the post of head coach at the second division promoted Alemannia Aachen . After his release in 2001 he became a coach at league rivals SpVgg Greuther Fürth , where he was also released in his third season. In November 2003 he took over the coaching position of Horst Ehrmantraut at the regional league club 1. FC Saarbrücken , who at that time was in second place in the table and was therefore on the rise. When the club slipped to 4th place in April and promotion was in danger, Hach was released from his duties and his predecessor was reinstated. After that, Hach was briefly a coach at SV Waldhof Mannheim and came to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the 2004/05 season , but could not prevent relegation to the regional league. In October 2005, Hach became a trainer for the regional division Eintracht Trier . After he could not prevent the club's relegation to the league, he was dismissed.
Manager
Since December 2006, Hach was sports director at the regional league club SV Elversberg and was supposed to create the conditions for qualifying for the third division in 2008, but this did not succeed.

For the first time after his long stay in the clinic, Eugen Hach appeared again on April 26th, 2009 when he wished both coaches good luck in the match between TuS Koblenz and Alemannia Aachen. In April 2012, Hach took over the sporting management of SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken , which was promoted to the Saarland Football League a few weeks later . In 2016, Hach was elected to the supervisory board of 1. FC Saarbrücken for the first time and was re-elected in 2019.
